Mireille Felicia Curtains, April 03rd , 2017. Why to Get Them Everyone knows that using the right curtains can add a flourish of elegance and luxury to the home. And among curtains, silk is definitely one of the most sought-after fabrics to make a home look stylish and inviting. Pure silk however, can be quite heavy on the pocket. Enter faux silk curtains. They are an inexpensive substitute to pure silk curtains, and yet, they provide almost the same benefits that real silk fabric does. It has the same texture, smooth and soft. It is quite a durable fabric too. The weave is tight and elegant and the fabric has a glowing sheen to it, just like a pure silk curtain would. The fabric is of superior quality and can be used in making curtains and drapes for a living room or any other room in the house. All you have to do is get the appropriate panel installed and you can enjoy its luxurious beauty. Faux silk curtains generally come with quite a thick internal lining. This makes the curtain thicker and stronger. It helps to keep the strong sunlight away from the windows. And in winter, it also keeps the cold away and is quite a warm fabric for the interior of your home. Another benefit of using faux silk curtains is that they are very easy to maintain. They are quite easy to wash and also to iron and hang again. What else do you need?
Clarissa Bancroft Curtains, April 02nd , 2017. Wooden blinds give a natural and traditional look to a room. They do not allow outside light to penetrate the room and block the outside view. Being good insulators of heat, they work better for providing warmth. Albeit more expensive than other types of blinds, they are preferred for this quality. There are two types of wooden blinds - ramin and bass. Bass blinds are known to keep bugs away. Wooden blinds go well with a traditional interior decor and can be personalized according to individual preferences. The installation process is simple, and in most cases the manufacturer installs it for you.

Aggie Lala Curtains, March 31st , 2017. Mostly visible rods are at least partially visible even when your window coverings are closed. When your drapes or curtains are open they're totally visible, and play a big part in your decorating statement. How do you know which to pick?
Yehudit Laine Curtains, April 01st , 2017. A great idea for DIY bay window curtain rods is to make them with the help of dowels. To make these functional bay window curtain rods, you will need a long dowel, decorative drawer knobs, a hand-held drill, a handsaw, T nut bolts and spray paint. First measure the width of all the three window casements of the bay window. Now cut the dowel into three pieces, according to the dimension of the window. If your bay window is not the three window casement style, but consists of one wide window, then you need not cut the dowel at all. Drill holes at the ends of the dowel by attaching a drill bit to a hand-held drill. While drilling holes into the dowel, make sure that it is properly centered. Attach T nut bolts on each holes of the dowels and make sure it is flush with the dowel ends. Screw in the decorative drawer knobs on each end of the dowels. If you want to give the curtain rod a more finished look, then spray paint it with a matt or metallic textured paint. Install curtain rods on the brackets of the bay windows.
Mari Holzer Curtains, April 03rd , 2017. Holdbacks and tiebacks serve the same purpose: to gently scoop up your curtains and hold them at the side of the window. Holdbacks are attached directly to the wall. Tiebacks are often lengths of cording, some with tassel ends that tie around the "belly" of your open curtains to hold them back.

This extras touch brings a subtle design that will, again, make your room and home more sophisticated. When you add embroidery, youre calling attention to the window design without the risk of overwhelming the space. 3. Play with light and dark colors
Silva Vinh Curtains, April 01st , 2017. If you are creatively inclined, you can create your own drapes at home. Adding trimmings like lace edges, satin ribbons, and sequins to plain, sheer curtains are good ideas for creating your own unique drapery. Before purchasing in retail, it makes sense to check out the sales and discount shops. You might be surprised at the sheer variety of reasonably-priced curtains that is available at such places. Imagine a house with a beautifully engraved ceiling. A huge hallway, and big rooms. A back door that opens into a sprawling lawn, that is punctuated with brilliantly vibrant wild flowers. The sun's rays come into the house from all directions, unfiltered and pure. But then the house turns really warm. So warm in fact, that it becomes impossible to stay in the room for long. What's the perfect solution to this? Curtains and drapes of course! Any form of interior decorating is incomplete without some gorgeous drapery ideas to add that bit of elegance to your windows, and even doors, at times. So, if you're considering home decorating soon, you must check out the ideas for curtains and drapes given here, for the different parts of your home. When it comes to living room decorating, it's all about impressions. The living room is definitely the first impression that any person is going to have of your house. And if you have some boring drapes in your living room, then there's no real point of decorating it with the latest furniture. So let's see what you can do to spiffy up your living room. If your window let's in a lot of sunlight, then going for a dark color makes sense. It will keep the sun's rays away, and by reflecting the light, it will also keep the room cooler. You can select some good printed and heavy fabric for the curtains and drapes in your living room, for the windows. For a passage from the living room into the kitchen or the next room, you can have some pretty beaded curtains. They look great, and have a mysterious look too! If you're looking for some window treatments in your kitchen, you can try some kitchen curtain ideas. Since your kitchen windows are relatively smaller than the other rooms (or so I'm assuming), you'll have to opt for a smaller length. Don't go in for dark colors in the kitchen, it gives a very dull effect. Keep the colors bright and sunny. Go in for floral or summery prints. Avoid pastels too. Take colors like orange, bright red, a pleasant green, sea blue and others in the same color palette. Those were the window curtain ideas for your kitchen. For the transition from the kitchen into the living room or a passage, you can use the same curtains, only much longer in length. Or you can just have strings with small trinkets like charms, bells, etc. tied on them. Oriental and Indian curtains with small animal figurines also look exceptionally pretty within rooms. Bedroom decorating is always taken quite seriously. You spend most of your time at home here, so it's obvious that you want it to look nice. So, here are some curtain ideas for bedrooms. Bedroom curtains and drapes can be modified as per your taste and your personality. If you want the drapes for the windows of your bedroom to look classy and sophisticated, go in for a richly embroidered fabric. Here you can go in for pastel shades of your like, but just add a dash of shimmer with gold or silver threads, here and there. You can also go in for an entire theme for your bedroom, and match the curtains and drapes to it. If your room is a shade of baby pink, go in for a bright red for the curtains. Or, paint the wall which has the window (only) in a dark color, like dark chocolate, or black, and have a pristine white silk curtain, with beautiful self embroidery on it. Or a cream and dark chocolate/black combination will also look great! Try out the curtains and drapes ideas that are mentioned above to give your home a striking and stylish look. And watch the others go green with envy! Patio doors are basically transparent door frames that can be installed in any part of a house. These are wonderful frames that allow you to view the beautiful landscapes outside your house. Patio doors are usually installed in living rooms and they allow easy passage to a garden. One more important functionality of patio doors is they allow abundant amount of sunlight to enter into a room. Since these doors are see through, it is necessary that they are covered with drapes or curtains, so as to achieve privacy and block natural light when required. Installing curtains is an inexpensive way to cover the patio doors. They come in large variety and you can select them depending upon your requirements and the style of the patio door. Given below is a brief discussion on patio door curtains in various patterns.
